Festa Junina

Festa Junina what means "June party" is a real Brazilian tradition.
It origanaly comes from the inlands of Brazil where mostly farmers
live. Therefor the fun part of the June party's is that everybody
dresses up like being a farmer. And on the party they dance the
original folk dances that they allready danced many hundred years
ago.

So during the month June Project Patio practised many saturdays
to learn how to dance one of these dances together with the children.
Becouse we would have our own Festa Junina the 27th of June!
And we we're going to perform our dance in front of all the parents
and everybody else that was interested. Only the practising was
already a lot of fun! We laughed a lot and enjoyed spending time
together.

Finaly at the big day the children were realy exited and all dressed
up realy funny. They did realy well during the dance and the parents
loved it! The mothers had even brougth many nice food, also
traditional pies and grandmom's secret recepies. Wich gave us a
whole table full of nice food!
